Recent Event: Cowrie Comics And Living Scrolls' 10th Anniversary!

The Comics Hut's story started way before August 2004. I had commenced work months ahead on Oba Agberaga's Wish (later The Impossible Wish) and had also engaged the freelance services of a then budding illustrator on The Narrow Escape. Even after signing on with Literamed Publications Nig. Ltd, the early days were no picnic as I singlehandedly adapted and provided art and graphics for Daba's Golden Opportunity, Women are Precious and The Trials and Triumphs of Prince Akpan. For a list of some of the talented artists I have had the chance to work with over the years check out this earlier post

The realisation of my vision- a unique marriage of Afrocentric comic book content and colourful visuals through thoughtful management of multiple skill sets within a realistic business environment, forced me to develop and grow in my art direction. Giving birth to these titles has been more than mere work. It has been a labour of love and passion. Having worked on over 250 titles, I pause to take in a bird's-eye view of the progress thus far.

The first titles were released in grayscale. Following a positive response from the market the studio went full colour.

The following are some of the available titles from the studio- a testament to the incredible amount of collaboration and synergy between talented individuals from across the nation.

I remember reading some of these books growing up and I'm still craving more of them even at my present age
